Community Health Worker Program

We fund and support Community Health Worker programs in Burundi, DRC, Uganda, and Kenya, strengthening maternal and child health through trained CHWs, nurse supervisors, and community-based care.
Funding and support for Community Health Worker programs in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and Kenya, focused on maternal and child health.

We support CHW programs in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and Kenya, funded by the CRI Foundation. Working in both urban and rural areas with critical health needs, our focus is on maternal and child health.

CHWs are evaluated on their enrollment in Antenatal Care (ANC), completion of ANC visits, clinic-based deliveries, and Post Natal Care (PNC) visits. Our approach begins with establishing functional clinics, followed by supporting CHWs with Nurse Supervisors who guide training and conduct home visits, enhancing diagnosis and care. This model strengthens CHW skills and improves community health outcomes.
